Achieving Health Equity for All: An Overview of Data and Resources from the CMS Office of Minority Health

The CMS Office of Minority Health (OMH) wants to see all CMS beneficiaries achieve their highest level of health and help to eliminate disparities in health care quality and access. In order for this vision to be realized, CMS OMH is dedicated to collecting, analyzing, and sharing data to inform health equity initiatives and resources.

Whether CMS OMH is granting researchers access to restricted CMS data through the Health Equity Data Access Program or working with patient navigators to help our beneficiaries to understand their coverage, we are dedicated to achieving health equity for all. We are committed to ensuring that all minority populations, including the transgender community, are a part of the conversation when shaping policy, and that there are resources available to meet their specific needs. During this plenary session, attendees will have the opportunity to hear Dr. LaShawn McIver provide an overview of the Office’s work toward achieving health equity.
