Plenary Highlight: Chase Strangio, Deputy Director for Trans Justice, ACLU LGBTQ & HIV Project

Chase Strangio (he/him/they/them) is Deputy Director for Trans Justice with the ACLU’s LGBTQ & HIV Project. He has been counsel in landmark transgender rights cases including Aimee Stephens’s and Gavin Grimm’s cases at the United States Supreme Court. He is currently counsel in Hecox v. Little, challenging Idaho’s ban on trans athletes in sports, and Brandt v. Rutledge, challenging Arkansas’s ban on health care for trans minors. He leads the ACLU’s advocacy against anti-trans bills and regularly speaks in the media on issues affecting LGBTQ people in the United States.
