Dear USPATH colleagues,

I am pleased to announce awardees for the Inaugural USPATH President's Discretionary Fund Equity Stipend. These awards provide up to a $1200 stipend for each of two student-member attendees at the in-person Montreal conference, who identify as people of color. Our awardees were selected at random from the 23 qualified applications we received.

AC Noël Rakotoniaina is a transmasculine/non-conforming identified person of Black/African American and Merina heritage, and is currently completing a masters degree in epidemiology.

Our second awardee, an Asian American physician who is dedicated to gender affirming care, wishes to remain anonymous.

Thank you to the 23 applicants we received for this award. It is clear that there is a need for such funding. We hope to be able to offer further support for learners, with an emphasis on equity, at future conferences. This award will help support a pipeline of leadership for the next generation of clinicians, researchers, and educators in this field. Please consider making a donation to support this fund.

Warmly,

Maddie
