WPATH GEI Online Neurodiversity Workshop

Attendees must be available to attend the live session "in-person" via Zoom on Friday, July 22, 2022 from 8:00am - 12:00pm EDT, and complete all required pre-recorded didactic sessions, in order to complete the WPATH GEI Online Neurodiversity Workshop.

WPATH GEI Online Sexuality Workshop
Live Session: Friday, July 29, 2022: 11:00am - 3:00pm Eastern Daylight Time (EDT-4)

Attendees must be available to attend the live session "in-person" via Zoom on Friday, July 29, 2022 from 11:00am - 3:00pm EDT, and complete all required pre-recorded didactic sessions, in order to complete the WPATH GEI Online Sexuality Workshop.
 
What to Expect: The WPATH GEI Online Sexuality Workshop will be led by Dr. Gail Knudson (University of British Columbia). This workshop will include: author highlights from Trans Sex: Clinical Approaches to Trans Sexualities and Erotic Embodiments (Routledge, 2021) featuring content that explores supporting trans erotic embodiments from a pleasure-centered praxis; developmental considerations around sexual health and pleasure - working with TGD children, adolescents, adults, and older adults - and specific generational concerns; ethical principles involved in Sexual Health Service delivery - how the PLISSIT MODEL and ISSWSH Process of Care are applicable to TGD clients in general practice; SOC 8 Sexual Health Chapter Recommendations (assuming release of SOC8 prior to the workshop); possible effects of the hormone therapy and other medications on sexual pleasure; overview of international associations’ position statements and declarations supporting sexuality and sexual health of TGD persons, as well as case studies.

Seats are still avilable for our upcoming WPATH GEI Online Multidisciplinary Voice & Communication Workshop, register today! Attendees must be available to attend the live session “in-person” on Saturday, June 25, 2022, from 11:00am – 12:00pm ET to complete the Voice & Communication Workshop. Attendees are required to watch the recorded presentations prior to the live session.
 
What to Expect: The Voice and Communication Workshop is an introductory workshop open to voice and non-voice clinicians of all experience levels. It provides a detailed overview of gender affirming voice and communication training, including a framework for assessment, training techniques, counseling, and cultural responsiveness considerations. Gender affirming voice care across other disciplines will also be briefly covered: Pitch-raising surgery, testosterone therapy, psychotherapy, music therapy, and singing training. Experts from multiple specialties will give didactic presentations and interact via a panel discussion.

WPATH GEI Advanced Ethics Workshop Symposium Pre-Course Added - Saturday, September 17, 2022 in Montreal, Quebec, CAN

WPATH is pleased to annoucne that an additional GEI Pre-Course has been added to the Symposium Pre-Course schedule. Please join us LIVE in Montreal for the WPATH GEI Advanced Ethics Workshop which will take place on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Montreal. 

What to Expect: The WPATH GEI Advanced Ethics Workshop is an ever-evolving course that includes robust discussion on ethics and moral principles, ethics in surgery and interdisciplinary care, ethics in child & adolescent care, ethical dilemmas, anticipated concerns and barriers to care. This workshop will involve interdisciplinary panels with interactive discussion.

Live Participation: Attendees for this course must attend live on September 17, 2022 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Exact Times TBD. Space is limited to no more than 40 attendees, register today to reserve your seat!

This online meeting format, featuring articles from the International Journal of Transgender Health (IJTH), allows participants the opportunity to delve further into transgender health research topics and ask questions of the authors. In addition to earning valuable CME credits and ANCC contact hours, the Journal Club provide attendees with the valuable opportunity to interact with the experts doing cutting-edge research in transgender health.
