The WPATH Global Education Institute (GEI) is accepting applications for the Mental Health (MH) Chair/Co-Chair. The GEI plays a significant role in WPATH's mission in providing in-person and online training opportunities for professionals working with transgender and gender diverse people around the world.

• The MH Chair works closely with the Medical Chair, and as Co-chairs they oversee the GEI and all of its committees (Programs, Curriculum Development, Faculty Development, and Certification & Mentorship). 
• The MH Chair and Medical Chair will oversee the Steering Group of the GEI which includes the GEI Co-Chairs and the Co-Leads of the GEI Committees.
• The role involves frequent contact and collaboration with WPATH Staff (e.g., meetings, phone calls, emails).
• This position usually requires at least 10 hours per week of emails, meetings, and other activities.

Term of Position: The GEI Co-Chair/Mental Health Chair role for the upcoming term will be 3 years starting on November 1, 2024 (ending October 31, 2027).

Requirements, applicants must :

1 - be a licensed mental health professionals with an advanced degree (e.g., PhD, PsyD, LCSW, MBBS., MD,  EdD, etc.),

2 - have been involved in the WPATH GEI as Faculty or as members of one of the GEI Committees,

3 - be GEI SOC 8 Certified.

The deadline for applications is July 7, 2024.

In the week following July 7, the WPATH GEI Steering Group will announce the candidate selected after reviewing the applications submitted.
