Dear WPATH colleagues, 

We are thrilled to announce that WPATH is offering Registration Scholarships to attend the WPATH 28^th Scientific Symposium in Lisbon, Portugal from September 26-30, 2024, as part of our initiative to promote global equity and representation in the field of transgender health. 

WPATH will be awarding Registration-Only Scholarships to current WPATH Members (paid member in 2022, 2023, and 2024) attending the 2024 Symposium in Lisbon who meet the following criteria.

Please note: This scholarship is only for your registration fees, no other assistance is available for the conference. You should only apply for this registration-only scholarship if you were planning to attend and this award will allow you to do so. These awards are only applicable for the WPATH 28^th Scientific Symposium and credit cannot be applied to any other WPATH event. 

• Willing to attend and write up a brief review of at least two (2) sessions in your specialty that you attend at the symposium. These will be used for marketing purposes following the event.
• 4 scholarships will be awarded to current WPATH Full Members who identify as transgender or gender diverse and have been a WPATH member for at least two years (paid member in 2022, 2023, and 2024).
• 4 scholarships will be awarded to current WPATH Student Members who identify as transgender or gender diverse and have been a WPATH member for at least two years (paid member in 2022, 2023, and 2024).
• 8 scholarships will be awarded to current WPATH LIEC Full Members who identify as transgender or gender diverse and have been a WPATH member for at least two years (paid member in 2022, 2023, and 2024).
• 8 scholarships will be awarded to current WPATH LIEC Student Members who identify as transgender or gender diverse and have been a WPATH member for at least two years (paid member in 2022, 2023, and 2024).

Please note: This scholarship is only for your registration fees, no other assistance is available for the conference. You should apply for this registration-only scholarship if you were planning to attend and this award will allow you to do so. These awards are only applicable for the 28th symposium and credit cannot be applied to any other WPATH event.

Awardees will be selected through a random drawing process overseen by the WPATH Staff. This initiative is aimed at promoting equity, inclusion, and professional development for our TGD members.

Application Deadline - July 7, 2024 at 11:59pm eastern. Applicants will be notified by Monday, July 15, 2024, and those awarded scholarships will receive a special code to register in order to bring your registration to $0. Please note that any additional registration options, other than the main conference and extended viewing are not included in your scholarship and will require your payment.
