In line with WPATH's mission to promote evidence-based care, education, research, public policy, and respect in transgender health, we are highly committed to ensuring global dissemination of the Standards of Care for Transgender and Gender Diverse People, Version 8 (SOC8). We are translating the SOC8 into as many languages as possible in order to reach as wide a global audience as possible. As of now, there are translations of SOC8 available on the WPATH website for Norwegian, Korean, and Portuguese.

Translations are currently underway in Mandarin, Hindi, Spanish, French, Bengali, Russian, Japanese, Turkish, Urdu, Punjabi, Italian, Polish, Thai, Georgian, Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian, and Montenegrin.

This could not have been possible without the exceptional dedication, expertise, and hard work of all translation collectives! 

Arabic, Bahasa Indonesian, German, Vietnamese, and Iranian Persian translation collectives are still needed, click on the link to bid on any of these translations. Deadline to apply is December 15, 2023.
