The USPATH Board is seeking Community Rapporteurs for the upcoming 2023 Symposium. Rapporteurs  will be charged with the important task of reporting back to the community on key conference highlights throughout the USPATH Symposium. The rapporteurs will write and record brief video reports on conference highlights that will be placed on the USPATH website and also disseminated through social media. This program was very successful at the 2019 and 2021 symposia.

The USPATH 2023 Scientific Symposium (being held from November 1-5, 2023; Westminster, CO) is the premier professional continuing education conference for medical, mental health, and other professional providers and researchers to advance the field of transgender health.

The USPATH Board will waive the conference registration fee for the rapporteur as well as cover the cost of hotel accommodations for three nights (room and tax only and at the host hotel only).

We are seeking a total of three to five (3 - 5) qualified Rapporteurs for the 2023 USPATH Scientific Symposium.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Member of the Transgender/Nonbinary community
  • Demonstrated expertise in the field of transgender health
  • Comfortable preparing and presenting reports
  • Familiarity with social media 
  • Familiarity with scientific terminology and communicating with a general audience

Community Rapporteur Job Description

The role of the USPATH Rapporteur is to attend the USPATH 2023 Scientific Symposium sessions and disseminate information presented at the conference broadly through report-outs to the TGNB communities. The Rapporteur will be responsible for submitting a report discussing the sessions they attended at the conference, to be viewed and approved by their Board Liaison before being posted on the USPATH website, and posting the approved report via social media and other means to be determined by the Rapporteur and their Board Liaison. All planned posting sites should be clearly communicated to the Board Liaison, in writing, prior to posting.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Attend pre- and post-conference Rapporteur meetings.
  • Attend daily Rapporteur meetings to discuss conference coverage and responsibilities.
  • Attend conference sessions as assigned and determined by the Rapporteur and Board Liaison.
  • Prepare a summary report (e.g.,written, video, or other) discussing the sessions they attended as well as any other conference highlights they feel are relevant. 
  • Working with the Board Liaison to develop informative reports to deliver to transgender communities.
  • Disseminate summary report via social media.
  • Help formulate a dissemination plan for final conference report-outs.
