WPATH is excited to announce that registration is now open for our Spring 2023 offerings of the following WPATH GEI Courses:
 
  • GEI Online Foundations Course (Live Sessions March 17-31, 2023)
  • GEI Online Advanced Mental Health Course (Live Session: April 14, 2023: 10:30am – 2:30pm EDT)
  • GEI Online Advanced Medical Course (Live Session: April 15, 2023: 11:00am – 3:00pm EDT)
 
We are pleased to bring you these courses featuring a newly updated curriculum based on the WPATH Standards of Care, Version 8. Please read below for more information about these courses, and to register today!
 
 

 
WPATH GEI Online Foundations Course
Recorded Sessions Available after March 1, 2023
Live Sessions: March 17-31, 2023 – See schedule below.
 
The WPATH GEI Online Foundations Course includes the following components:
 
  1. Pre-Recorded Didactic Sessions, which attendees can watch starting March 1, 2023. Attendees should watch all recorded presentations in preparation for the live panels.
  2. Two 2-hour Live Streamed Case Discussion Panels, which attendees will select and attend between March 17 – March 31, 2023.
  3. One 2-hour Live Streamed Q&A Panel, which attendees will select and attend between March 17 – 31, 2023.
 
What to Expect:
Registered attendees will receive the link to access the GEI Foundations Course Platform and begin viewing the Pre-Recorded Didactic Sessions on-demand on March 1, 2023. You will receive the link on March 1st, directly through the meeting platform.
 
After you have registered and paid, you will receive a confirmation email, which will include the link to RSVP for your selected Live Case Discussion Panels and Live Q&A Panel. Please note that you must select and attend two 2-hour Live Streamed Case Discussion Panel Sessions, and one 2-hour Live Streamed Q&A Panel Session, to complete and receive full credit for the GEI Foundations Course.
 
All materials for the GEI Foundations Course, including Faculty Bios, Handouts, PDF copy of the SOCv8, and Accreditation information, will be available through the Course Platform. As an attendee benefit, you will have access to the Course Platform and all Foundations Course content through July 1, 2023.
 
This course fulfills the Foundations requirement for members pursuing WPATH GEI Certification.
 
GEI Foundations Course Live Streamed Case Discussion Panels*
All Case Discussion Panels are designed to be multidisciplinary and involve 2-3 case presentations and Q&A (via chat functionality). Attendees will send their questions via chat and the moderators will relay them to the panel. Attendees, Panelists, and Moderators will receive the cases being discussed prior to the session. The Advanced Medical Course is intended for medical professionals who have previously completed the GEI Foundations Course. The course will focus on advanced hormonal treatment and complications, co-occurring conditions, general health, gender affirming surgeries and perioperative care, ongoing primary care, and aging.
 
Attendees will receive access to the GEI Course Platform after March 15 to begin watching the pre-recorded didactic sessions. Attendees should plan to watch the pre-recorded didactic presentations prior to attending the live session on April 15.
