Dr. Lily Durwood received her PhD in Child Clinical Psychology from the University of Washington, where she worked on the TransYouth Project--the first large-scale, longitudinal study of transgender youth in North America. Dr. Durwood has co-authored several empirical papers focused on promoting the wellbeing of transgender and gender diverse youth. Specifically, her research has focused on better understanding youth's experiences with childhood social transitions. Currently, Dr. Durwood works clinically with youth and their families as a postdoctoral fellow at NYU Langone’s Gender and Sexuality Service. | |
Kristina Olson is a professor of psychology who studies early gender development, particularly in gender diverse youth. She received her BA from Washington University in St Louis before receiving her MA and PhD in psychology from Harvard University. Her research with transgender youth is currently supported by grants from the National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health. She was a professor at Yale University and the University of Washington before taking her current position as a Professor of Psychology and Cognitive Science at Princeton University. | |
Dr. Aaron Devor, PhD, FSSSS, FSTLHE, has been studying and teaching about transgender topics since the early 1980s. He established and holds the world’s first Chair in Transgender Studies; initiated and hosts the international, interdisciplinary Moving Trans History Forward conferences; and founded and serves as subject matter expert for the world’s largest Transgender Archives. He has published widely, his opinions are sought frequently by the media, he has delivered public lectures and more than 40 plenary addresses to audiences around the world, and he is a national-award-winning teacher. Dr. Devor is a professor of Sociology at the University of Victoria in British Columbia, Canada. |
