Dear WPATH Student Members,

We are currently organizing the digital program of the 4th EPATH conference 2021, entitled “Reconnecting and Redefining Transgender Healthcare”, which will take place in Gothenburg from August 11-13, 2021. As you already know, this year the conference will also go virtual (see full program here: https://epath.eu/conference-2021/program/). However, for the parallel stream sessions, which consist of pre-recorded presentations and afterwards a live online Q&A, we are looking for volunteers to become stage managers. With this email EPATH would like to invite you to become a stage manager to manage the online Q&A.

What is expected from a stage manager?

As a stage manager you play a very important role, similar to AV technicians at a physical conference. It is the responsibility of a stage manager to look after all of the technical aspects and to manage the live online Q&A’s (15 minutes) via Webex. More information about the role of a stage manager can be found here: https://support.exordo.com/article/932-stagemanager-guidelines. Also if you are willing to be a stage manager, you will be trained by our partner Jelena (Ex Ordo) for one hour. The date of this training is July 27 at 12:30 CEST. At the conference, you will be asked to manage one or two stages:

• On Wednesday for the parallel stream session 1 (16:45 - 18:45 CEST): 15 minutes commitment to open, manage and close the online live Q&A (18:30 to 18:45); and/or
• On Thursday:
  • A) For the parallel stream session 2 (11:45 - 13:15 CEST): 15 minutes commitment to open, manage and close the online live Q&A (13:00 - 13:15 CEST); and/or
  • B) For the round table session 1 (14:15 - 15:45 CEST) and/or round table session 2 (16:30 - 18:00): 90 minutes commitment to open the session, manage any questions from the audience and close the session; and/or

• On Friday parallel stream session 3 (11:15 - 12:30 CEST): 15 minutes commitment to open, manage and close the online live Q&A (12:15 - 12:30 CEST).

What does EPATH offer you in return?

We highly appreciate your effort and in return for your commitment, you receive a free online ticket (to attend the online Conference sessions outside your volunteering hours) and also a certificate signed by the EPATH presidents. We of course honor your contribution by listing your name on our website as well as in the program book.
