Call for Submissions - WPATH 2020 International Film Festival

The WPATH 2020 Steering Committee is pleased to announce the first-ever WPATH International Film Festival that will be presented during the 26th Scientific Symposium; November 6 - 10, 2020. 

We are accepting submissions until Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 11:00pm Eastern Time.

We are seeking submissions that are aligned with WPATH's vision of a world wherein people of all gender identities and gender expressions have access to evidence-based healthcare, social services, justice and equality. It is the intent to allow all submissions to be showcased, however, we will review content for incitement of hate, misinformation disproved by evidence and alignment with our vision. 

All submissions will receive notification of the review decision prior to the symposium.

Attendees who have paid for the festival will be able to view and vote for their favorite film in each of the categories below.

On November 10, 2020, all films will have the opportunity to have up to 2 panelists for an "Ask the Filmmaker" panel. Exact time of the panel is yet to be determined.

At the conclusion of the November 10th  panel, a winner in each category will be announced. The award amount will be determined by number of submissions and number of attendees that paid for the Film Festival.

Awards will be divided equally among the category winners. Funds will be sent after the meeting. 

Film categories will need a minimum of 3 accepted submissions to be included in the Film Festival.  While we currently have two categories there may be further categories added depending on the submissions we receive.  We will advise if this is occurs.
