USPATH Call for Committee Chair Applications - Deadline Extended - Apply Today!

Dear USPATH Members:

We hope you are safe and well in these challenging days. While our initial call for applications for USPATH committee chairs resulted in a number of worthy applicants, it unfortunately coincided with quarantine orders throughout the United States and related issues relevant to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In order to provide members with an additional  opportunity to apply, we are extending the call for committee chairs through Thursday, June 18th, 2020.

We are living at a time when transgender health is threatened in the United States by actions of the federal administration, some state legislative efforts, and activities of certain organizations in the private sector. USPATH needs your help in successfully countering these efforts. Accepting the challenge to assume important leadership positions in USPATH will ensure that we take the lead as advocates for the community.  The USPATH Board has heard loud and clear a desire for increased opportunities for members to become involved in the leadership of the organization.  We are hopeful that members will take advantage of this opportunity to enter into leadership roles with USPATH.

Applicants for the USPATH committee chair positions must meet the following criteria:

• Be a USPATH member in good standing for at least 5 consecutive years
• Cannot be under disciplinary action by a university, hospital or professional society
• Have documented leadership abilities as evidenced by service to and membership on established professional boards of directors, councils, or commissions, with significant experience and professional recognition in the areas represented by the committee to which the application is being made.

The USPATH Committee Task Force will notify all applicants upon their selection of committee chairs.

The deadline for applications is Thursday, June 18, 2020 at 11:00pm Eastern Time.
