In order to stimulate new investigation in transgender/gender non-binary health care, the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) is soliciting proposals for its inaugural Pilot Research Project program for 2019-2020.  WPATH expects to fund 5 pilot projects for one year with budgets limited to $5,000 (USD) each.

Due to the small nature of the awards, the funds should be spent directly on the project only; not on investigator salary or indirect costs to the institution.

Applicants must be current WPATH members, Student members are encouraged to apply, and must intend to present data regarding their progress and results at WPATH’s bi-annual international conference at the Kerry Hotel in Kowloon, Hong Kong from November 6-10, 2020.

Interested investigators, more than one researcher can be listed on an application, should complete the following application (link below) and submit by 5:00pm CT on September 30, 2019. WPATH headquarters in Chicago, 5:00 pm = 17:00 North America Central Time.
