Description: The International Facial Gender Symposium is a collaboration between FACIALTEAM Training & Education and Johns Hopkins Center for Transgender Health to introduce new techniques and encourage advancement in patient care. As part of their commitment to the best quality care for the transgender community, the symposium has been thoughtfully designed to maximize exposure to proven techniques by internationally and nationally recognized providers.
The first annual International Facial Gender Symposium will be a high-level, immersive 2 day program, designed to encourage discussion and introduce novel techniques and approaches to improve gender congruence in the face. It will include a full day of theoretical sessions and panel discussions, plus a full day of cadaver practicum. The program features invited presenters of both international accolade and from respected, established practices across the United States.
The program is aimed at plastic surgeons, otolaryngologists and other craniofacial specialists who are interested in learning the surgical techniques involving bone and soft tissue specifically employed in facial gender surgery.
