WPATH GLOBAL BOARD OF DIRECTORS

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

Nominations are now open for the following positions on the WPATH Global Board of Directors:

  • President-Elect (term = 2018-2020; becomes President, 2020-2022; becomes Past-President, 2022-2024)
  • Treasurer (term = 2018-2020)
  • Secretary (term = 2018-2020)
  • And four (4) At-large Board Members (term = 2018-2022)

Criteria for Board Member candidacy may be found here.

To nominate a candidate, you may directly ask your nominee to complete and submit the Board Candidate Application form found here. Self-nominations are accepted; simply fill out and submit the Application form. If you want to nominate a qualified member with whom you are not familiar enough to ask them directly to apply for candidacy, you may submit their name, email address, and country of residence via email to the WPATH office (wpath@PROTECTED), and the Nominating Committee* will inform them that they have been nominated and ask them to submit a Candidate Application if they wish to be considered for the ballot.

ALL CANDIDATE APPLICATION FORMS MUST BE SUBMITTED
by 12:01 AM CDT on June 6, 2018

Please note that nomination or a submitted application does not ensure a place on the ballot. The Nominating Committee will vet all applications and ensure that final candidates understand the requirements of service and that the final ballot composition will be as geographically diverse as possible. The ballot will consist of a slate of Officers to be voted up or down with one yes/no vote, and individual candidates for the 4 at-large board seats for which all members may vote for 4. The 4 candidates with the most votes will be seated on the board.

Voting will take place in June, and newly-elected Board Members will be installed at a meeting of the full board on November 6, 2018, at WPATH’s 25th Biennial International Scientific Symposium in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

 

*The Nominating Committee consists of 2 Past-Presidents (one of whom is the committee chair), 2 current Board Members, and 3 at-large WPATH Members. Members who intend to run for any open Board position are not eligible to serve on the Nominating Committee. Names of the members of the Nominating Committee will be available on the WPATH website before the application period closes.
