WPATH Members,

We are excited to offer WPATH Members more ways to participate in the continued growth of the Global Education Institute (GEI) as we strive to provide enriching programs in transgender/gender diverse (TGD) healthcare to colleagues globally and offer a Certification program as a benefit to members who are interested. Together with our Faculty and Staff, we have offered over 150 programs with over 11,000 registrations.

The WPATH GEI is currently looking to fill the following three (3) positions (see below for descriptions, criteria, and links to apply):

  • 1 (one) Mental Health Co-Lead for Faculty Development Committee
  • 1 (one)  Mental Health Co-Lead Programming
  • 1 (one) Medical Co-Lead Programming

    MENTAL HEALTH CO-LEAD -- FACULTY DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE

The GEI Committees have an opening for a Mental Health professional as Co-Lead of the Faculty Development Committee, as Co-Lead you will:

  • Have a 3-year term from November 1, 2024 - October 31, 2027.
  • Require about 2 hours per week on average, but there are times when there is little work and other times when there is more work.
  • Sit as a member of the GEI Steering Group which meets once per month.

Faculty Development Committee (hyperlinked to position description)

We invite you to apply for this open Committee Co-Lead position, especially if you have familiarity with GEI and are GEI SOC8 Certified. We will use a review process in choosing this GEI committee co-lead. Deadline for Applications is September 2, 2024.

MENTAL HEALTH and MEDICAL CO-LEAD -- PROGRAMMING COMMITTEE

GEI has openings for two NEW roles: ONE as the Programming Medical Co-Lead and ONE as the Programming Mental Health Co-Lead.

Together these professionals will coordinate with the GEI Co-Chairs, the GEI Staff, the GEI Faculty, and other GEI leaders (e.g., Curriculum Development Committee) to run and develop courses offered by GEI.

These GEI Programming Co-Leads Will:

  • Have a 3-year term from November 1, 2024 - October 31, 2027.
  • Require about 5 hours per week on average, but there are times when there is little work and other times when there is more work.
  • Sit as a member of the GEI Steering Group which meets once per month. 
  • Arrive 1-2 days in advance of live in-person trainings that they host.
  • Need to have extensive familiarity with the GEI Educational Programs.

We invite you to apply for these GEI Programming Co-Lead positions, especially if you have extensive familiarity with the GEI and are GEI SOC8 Certified. The Co-Leads will also need to have and/or cultivate connections with professionals internationally to develop GEI programs. We will use a review process, similar to what the SOC8 Committee employed, in choosing GEI committee leads. Deadline for Applications is September 2, 2024.
