Charlotte Elder, MBBS
Dr. Charlotte Elder is a Gynecologist and Obstetrician in Melbourne, Australia. She has a special interest in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology and Transgender Healthcare and was the first Australian to achieve the IFEPAG Fellowship in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology. Charlotte also holds a position as a Clinical Fellow within the Department of Pediatrics at The University of Melbourne.

Dehlia Moussaoui, MD
Dehlia Moussaoui (she/her) is a Swiss medical doctor, specialized in Pediatrics. She underwent a 2-year clinical and research fellowship in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology at the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne, Australia (2021-2023). Back in Geneva (Switzerland), she is now combining a clinical and research position as a chief resident in Adolescent Medicine and Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology. Her main interest is improving access to menstrual health for vulnerable adolescents, including trans and gender diverse individuals. During her fellowship in Melbourne, she conducted different research projects with the Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology and Gender Service teams on gynecological health in trans and gender diverse adolescents, including pelvic pain and menstrual suppression.

Ken Pang, PhD 
Ken Pang is a pediatrician at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, Australia, where he works to help support transgender young people and their families. He is also an Honorary Associate Professor within the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Melbourne and leads a multidisciplinary team at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, whose research aims to optimize the mental, physical, and reproductive health of transgender young people. In the past 5 years, he has published >40 articles in trans health in journals such as JAMA Pediatrics, BMJ, Lancet Child and Adolescent Health, and Pediatrics.

NEW! WPATH GEI Online Intersectionality & Diversity Workshop
Live Session: Friday, February 2, 2024 - 10:00am – 2:00pm Eastern Standard Time (GMT-5)
 
What to Expect:
The NEW WPATH GEI Online Intersectionality & Diversity Workshop is intended for different health and mental health related professionals who work with transgender and gender diverse individuals and their families/loved ones.  We have invited different trainers from different disciplines to present and to share their clinical experiences in working with different transgender and gender diverse minority groups.
 
The workshop will include various topics about working with transgender individuals and their loved ones with different intersectionality and diversity backgrounds and issues.  The main goal is to provide current clinical evidence-based practices and information on ways to work with these minority groups by learning about our own bias, identifying their unique and extra stressors, and developing some clinical skills.

WPATH GEI Online Foundations Course
Recorded Sessions Available after February 1, 2024
Live Sessions Scheduled February 16 – February 29, 2024
 
The WPATH GEI Online Foundations Course includes the following components:
 
  1. Pre-Recorded Didactic Sessions, which attendees can watch starting February 1, 2024. Attendees should watch all recorded presentations in preparation for the live panels.
  2. Two 2-hour Live Streamed Case Discussion Panels, which attendees will select and attend between February 16 – February 29, 2024.
  3. One 2-hour Live Q&A Panel, which attendees will select and attend between February 16 – February 29, 2024.
What to Expect:
Registered attendees will receive the link to access the GEI Foundations Course Platform and begin viewing the Pre-Recorded Didactic Sessions on-demand on February 1, you will receive the link on February 1, 2024 directly through the meeting platform.
 
When you receive this link, you will be prompted to set up an Attendee profile that will be visible to all other Course attendees, Speakers, and Staff. The course is set up so that you have time to watch the recorded sessions in advance of attending the live panels, and we encourage you to do so, so that you are well prepared for those interactive sessions.
 
After you have registered and paid, you will receive a confirmation email, which will include the link to RSVP for your selected Live Case Discussion Panels and Live Q&A Panel. Please note that you must select and attend two 2-hour Live Streamed Case Discussion panels, and one 2-hour Live Q&A Panel, to complete and receive full credit for the GEI Foundations Course.

The Advanced Mental Health Course is intended for mental health professionals who have previously completed the GEI Foundations Course. The Advanced Medical Course is intended for medical professionals who have previously completed the GEI Foundations Course. The course will focus on advanced hormonal treatment and complications, co-occurring conditions, general health, gender affirming surgeries and perioperative care, ongoing primary care, and aging.
 
Attendees will receive access to the GEI Course Platform after February 1, 2024, to begin watching the pre-recorded didactic sessions. Attendees should plan to watch the pre-recorded didactic presentations prior to attending the live session on March 2, 2024.
