The WPATH GEI Online Foundations Course includes the following components:
Registered attendees will receive the link to access the GEI Foundations Course Platform and begin viewing the Pre-Recorded Didactic Sessions on-demand on August 1st., you will receive the link on August 1, 2023 directly through the meeting platform.
When you receive this link, you will be prompted to set up an Attendee profile that will be visible to all other Course attendees, Speakers, and Staff. The course is set up so that you have time to watch the recorded sessions in advance of attending the live panels, and we encourage you to do so, so that you are well prepared for those interactive sessions.
After you have registered and paid, you will receive a confirmation email, which will include the link to RSVP for your selected Live Case Discussion Panels and Live Q&A Panel. Please note that you must select and attend two 2-hour Live Streamed Case Discussion panels, and one 2-hour Live Q&A Panel, to complete and receive full credit for the GEI Foundations Course.
All materials for the GEI Foundations Course, including Faculty Bios, Handouts, PDF copy of the SOCv8, and Accreditation information, will be available through the Course Platform. As an attendee benefit, you will have access to the Course Platform and all Foundations Course content through January 1, 2024.
This course fulfills the Foundations requirement for members pursuing WPATH GEI Certification.
All Case Discussion Panels are designed to be multidisciplinary and involve 2-3 case presentations and Q&A (via chat functionality). Attendees will send their questions via chat and the moderators will relay them to the panel. Attendees, Panelists, and Moderators will receive the cases being discussed prior to the session. All panels below are listed in Eastern Daylight Time (GMT-4).
The Live Q&A Panels are designed to be multidisciplinary and involve Q&A based on the Pre-Recorded Didactic Presentations. Attendees will send their questions via chat and the moderators will relay them to the panel as they come in. Only the panel and moderator will be on video. The WPATH GEI Online Advanced Mental Health Course will include two components:
Attendees must watch all the pre-recorded didactic presentations and attend the live session "in-person" on September 21st to complete the course.
The Advanced Mental Health Course is intended for mental health professionals who have previously completed the GEI Foundations Course. Topics include – Professionals as People, Complex Co-occurring Conditions, Intersectionality and POC, Gender Diversity and Neurodiversity/Autism, Relationships, and Transitioning on the Job.
Attendees will receive access to the GEI Course Platform after August 23rd to begin watching the pre-recorded didactic sessions. Attendees should plan to watch the pre-recorded didactic presentations prior to attending the live session on September 22nd.

The Advanced Medical Course is intended for medical professionals who have previously completed the GEI Foundations Course. The course will focus on advanced hormonal treatment and complications, co-occurring conditions, general health, gender affirming surgeries and perioperative care, ongoing primary care, and aging.
Attendees will receive access to the GEI Course Platform after August 21, 2023 to begin watching the pre-recorded didactic sessions. Attendees should plan to watch the pre-recorded didactic presentations prior to attending the live session on September 23, 2023.

This case-based workshop will feature a number of leading Pediatric Endocrinologists. Topics discussed include bone health, cardiometabolic risk, reproductive health, exercise/participation in sports, and gender-affirming hormone therapy in nonbinary youth. Each topic will be introduced by a 5–10-minute review of the current literature and corresponding SOC8 recommendations, followed by a 25-minute panel and audience discussion.

The WPATH GEI Online Neurodiversity Workshop is a half-day training on the intersection of neurodivergence (especially autism) and gender diversity. This workshop provides a toolkit of approaches for supporting autistic/neurodivergent gender-diverse individuals including in the areas of communication/self-advocacy, executive function/goal setting, and gender discernment/affirmation. The session will emphasize strengths-based approaches and address issues related to obtaining autism and related diagnoses, prioritizing clinical supports, and establishing multidisciplinary care teams. Topics related to intersectional identities, including around neurodiversity, gender diversity, and race, will be explored. Attendees will watch 2 hours of recorded didactic sessions prior to attending the live session on August 25, 2023 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm
