The WPATH Gold Medal is the most prestigious honor awarded by the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH). The WPATH Gold Medal is awarded once every two years at the WPATH Biennial Scientific Symposium if an eligible application and awardee is selected.

WPATH Gold Medals are awarded to openly nominated individual(s) or an organization(s), who have made a major contribution to global transgender health. WPATH is honored to support their endeavors in the research and continued support of transgender and gender diverse individuals. Without our members contributions, so many would be suffering without a voice. It is because of this good work we proudly give this award to the following recipients.

Please join us in congratulating the SOC8 Chair and Co-Chairs; Drs. Coleman, Arcelus, and Radix, on chairing and completing the WPATH SOC8. The Inaugural WPATH Gold Medal was presented to them for their dedication, untiring work, and stamina to help guide and lead their chapters over the finish line. The Gold Medal was presented to them at the President's Dinner, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, on September 17, 2022, during the WPATH 27th Scientific Symposium.
