WPATH Launches Standards of Care 8 Website

In anticipation of the WPATH Standards of Care 8, to be released in December 2021, WPATH is excited to announce the launch of our new WPATH SOC8 Website where our community can learn about the process of developing the SOC8 and the history of the WPATH SOC, meet the contributors working on this document, and much more!

Apply Today - Global Education Institute Committee Applications Open Through September1, 2021

WPATH is excited to offer WPATH Members more ways to participate in the continued growth of the Global Education Institute (GEI) as we strive to provide enriching programs to our colleagues to enhance their skills, knowledge, and awareness in the 4 competency domains of trans/gender diverse healthcare.

Listed below are the six (6) new Committees of the Global Education Institute:

• GEI Certification and Mentorship Committee
• GEI Curriculum Development Committee
• GEI Diversity, Inclusion, and Community Engagement Committee
• GEI Faculty Development Committee
• GEI Fundraising & Grant-Writing Committee
• GEI Global Outreach Committee

Included in the link below, you will find more information about the purpose/mission and structure for each committee. Each Committee’s Lead(s) will sit as a member of the GEI Steering Group, including in the monthly Steering Group meeting, to ensure all areas are involved in the continued evolution of GEI.

The deadline to apply for a GEI Committee Member/Lead position is Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at 11:00pm Eastern Time.

USPATH 2021 Abstract Submission Deadline Extended - Submit by Friday, July 30, 2021

The United States Professional Association for Transgender Health (USPATH) invites the submission of abstracts for Oral and Poster sessions as well as State-of-the-Art Symposia to be considered for presentation at the USPATH 2021 Scientific Symposium presented VIRTUALLY November 4 – 7, 2021.

Submission Deadline Extended: Friday, July 30, 2021, at 5:00 pm Eastern Time.

Registration Still Open for GEI Online Foundations Course - Live Sessions begin August 19

Registration is NOW OPEN for our next 2021 offering of the WPATH GEI Online Foundations Course, which is open now, with Live sessions beginning on August 19, 2021. 

The WPATH GEI Online Foundations Course includes the following components:

1. Pre-Recorded Didactic Sessions, which attendees can stream starting July 15^th.
2. Two 2-hour Live Streamed Case Discussion Panels, which attendees will select and attend between August 19 – September 9, 2021.
3. One 2-hour Live Q&A Panel, which attendees will select and attend between August 19 – September 9, 2021.

Registered attendees will receive the link to access the GEI Foundations Course Platform and begin viewing the Pre-Recorded Didactic Sessions on-demand within 48 hours (2 business days) of registering.

All materials for the GEI Foundations Course, including Faculty Bios, Handouts, PDF copy of the SOCv7, and Accreditation information, will be available through the Course Platform. As an attendee benefit, you will have access to the Course Platform and all Foundations Course content through January 1, 2021.
