On behalf of the WPATH Global Education Initiative, we are happy to partner again with Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP) to bring you the 2-day Foundations training, being held virtually July 15 – Septmber 9, 2021.

IEHP is happy to  supplement your registration fee for this accredited course, attendees only pay $75 for the 2-day, 15.25 credit hour course. 

Course Objective: The Foundations Course is intended for providers of all experience levels and from all specialties in the implementation of the WPATH Standards of Care. This course focuses on the importance of an interdisciplinary care team approach and cross-specialty foundational knowledge – what all providers should know about gender development, mental health considerations, legal, policy and ethical issues, primary care and preventative health, puberty blockers and hormonal treatment, surgical overviews, and much more.

Registration & Cost: The cost of attendance for the course is $75.00 for all IEHP supported attendees. IEHP is subsidizing the balance of the training costs for its providers. 

WPATH is excited to announce that registration is now open for our 2021 offering of the WPATH GEI Online Foundations Course which will open on July 15, 2021. Live sessions begin on August 19, 2021.

The WPATH GEI Online Foundations Course includes the following components:

1. Pre-Recorded Didactic Sessions, which attendees can stream starting July 15th.
2. Two 2-hour Live Streamed Case Discussion Panels*, which attendees will select and attend between August 19 – September 9, 2021.
3. One 2-hour Live Q&A Panel, which attendees will select and attend between August 19 – September 9, 2021.

• Registered attendees will receive the link to access the GEI Foundations Course Platform and begin viewing the Pre-Recorded Didactic Sessions on-demand on July 15th, you will receive the link on July 15, 2021, directly through the meeting platform. 

When you receive this link, you will be prompted to set up an Attendee profile that will be visible to all other Course attendees, Speakers, and Staff. The course is setup so that you have time to watch the recorded sessions in advance of attending the live panels, and we encourage you to do so, so that you are well prepared for those interactive sessions.

After your paid registration, you will receive a confirmation email, which will include the link to RSVP for your selected Live Case Discussion Panels and Live Q&A Panel. Please note that you must select and attend at least two 2-hour Live Streamed Case Discussion panels, and at least one 2-hour Live Q&A Panel, to complete and receive full credit for the GEI Foundations Course.

All materials for the GEI Foundations Course, including Faculty Bios, Handouts, PDF copy of the SOCv7, and Accreditation information, will be available through the Course Platform. As an attendee benefit, you will have access to the Course Platform and all Foundations Course content through January 1, 2021.  

This course fulfills the Foundations requirement for members pursuing WPATH GEI SOC7 Certification.

All Case Discussion Panels are designed to be multidisciplinary and involve 2-3 case presentations and Q&A (via chat functionality). Attendees will send their questions via chat and the moderators will relay them to the panel as they come in.
