Dr. Michael Marshall, MBBS, MRCPsych, CCT, PgDip (Mental Health Law), MBA (Ongoing), is a psychiatrist with a special interest in transgender health. He was the inaugural program director at the Gender Program at the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Michael Marshall started this new, innovative program with a view to providing comprehensive, multidisciplinary, wrap- around care to the transgender population in Edmonton and the north of Alberta. He is a clinician at heart and hopes that his breadth of experience, knowledge and training can be used to advance the wellbeing of trans persons. He is a well sought-after speaker and consultant on matters related to the health, care, and support of transgender individuals. He is a keen advocate for all transgender persons and black trans identities.
