Second Round of the Online GEI Foundations Course Now Available
Dear WPATH Supporters:
WPATH is excited to announce that registration is now open for the second-round of the Online GEI Foundations Course, being offered August 12 – September 30, 2020. After a widely successful first-round of our Online GEI Foundations Course in May, we are excited to make this online learning opportunity available again.
The WPATH GEI Online Foundations Course will include two components:
Pre-Recorded Didactic Sessions, which attendees can stream on-demand starting August 12, 2020 and
Live Streamed Case Presentation Panel Discussions, attendees will pre-select and attend 3 panels between August 23 – September 4, 2020.
Registered attendees will receive the link to access the Pre-Recorded Didactic Sessions on-demand starting August 12th. That email will also include the handouts for the sessions including Faculty Bios, PDF copy of the SOCv7, and Accreditation information. You will have until September 30, 2020 (which may be extended if necessary) to watch all the recorded sessions at your own pace and schedule.
In addition, attendees will need to select a total of three (3) 2-hour Live Streamed Case Presentation/Panel Discussions that are taking place August 23 – September 4, 2020. Live participation is strongly encouraged, but on-demand viewing will be available after September 4th to attendees that are unable to attend live. These panels are an integral part of the Foundations Course and are a requirement to complete the curriculum and receive credit for attending the course.
The Foundations course is accredited for 15 hours of CME/CNE/CE accreditation, all attendees are eligible to receive their credits after completing the full course. Rush University Medical Center designates this live activity for an AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Attendees should claim only credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Attendees will receive the link to receive their credits after the course closes on September 4, 2020.
This course fulfills the Foundations Course requirement for members pursuing WPATH GEI SOC7 Certification.
This scholarship is intended for members who would otherwise be unable to attend without a registration scholarship.
Scholarships will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to members who complete and submit this form
Live Streamed Case Discussion Panels
All panels are designed to be multidisciplinary and will involve 2-3 case presentations with Q&A via chat functionality. Only the panel and moderator will be on video. Attendees, Panelists, and Moderators will receive the cases being discussed prior to the session. Live participation is strongly encouraged, but on-demand viewing will be available after September 4th to attendees that are unable to attend live.
Didactic (Pre-recorded) Sessions
Attendees will have a minimum of 6-weeks to watch the pre-recorded didactic sessions. Double-Starred (**) Presentations were recorded at the GEI Pre Courses at the USPATH 2019 Symposium, recordings that were not usable because of technical issues have been recorded at-home by the faculty listed below.
