Dear USPATH Members:

The USPATH Board of Directors is excited to announce a Call for Applications for Committee Chairs for the following proposed committees.

1. Bylaws, Policies, and Procedures
2. Research
3. Education
4. Clinical Care
5. Advocacy/Community Liaison
6. Legal and Health Insurance Issues

At the end of 2019, the USPATH Board of Directors established a USPATH Committee Task Force, led by Dr. John Capozuca with the participation of Drs. Erica Anderson, Madeline Deutsch, Lisa Griffin, and Emilia Lombardi. The Task Force outlined their vision for the 6 committees listed above to increase USPATH member engagement and respond to specific needs. We expect a robust response to this call for applications and encourage members with interest in assuming leadership positions within the organization and in our field to apply.

Applicants for the Committee Chair positions must meet the following criteria:

• Be a USPATH member in good standing for at least 5 consecutive years
• Cannot be under disciplinary action by a university, hospital or professional society
• Documented leadership abilities as evidenced by service and membership on established professional boards of directors, councils, or commissions, with significant experience and professional recognition in the areas represented by the committee to which the application is being made.

The USPATH Committee Task Force will notify all applicants on their selection of Committee Chairs. 

Each Committee will have a current member of the Board of Directors as a liaison to the Board. Because these committees will be created for the first time for USPATH, Committee Chairs and members will have the exciting opportunity to shape the vision and direction of the Committee and its service to USPATH.
