GEI 2020 COURSE SCHEDULE 

MARK YOUR CALENDARS AND SAVE THE DATES TO ATTEND – REGISTRATION WILL OPEN BY THE END OF JANUARY.

WPATH is excited to announce the following WPATH GEI Courses for 2020. Each of the below-listed courses will include the following schedule:

  • Day 1 (Friday): Foundations Part 1
  • Day 2 (Saturday): Foundations Part 2, Advanced Medical Course, Advanced Mental Health Course
  • Day 3 (Sunday – ½ day): Advanced Workshops (topics may vary but previously offered topics include Child & Adolescent, Planning & Documenting, and Ethics)

WPATH GEI COURSES AT THE 2020 SCIENTIFIC SYMPOSIUM

All WPATH GEI Certification Courses will be offered as Pre-Courses at the symposium on November 6 – 7, 2020. Additional/extended courses and workshops may also be offered. The main scientific symposium will be held from November 7 – 10, 2020, opening session begins at 5:00pm following the pre-courses.

 

WPATH GEI- CERTIFIED COURSES FOR 2020

WPATH is also pleased to announce the following GEI-Certified Courses for 2020. These courses will count towards the additional coursework/credit hours required for the certification program.

Prof. Dr. Jon Arcelus, from the University of Nottingham, discuss about the role of gender affirming treatment in the mental health of transgender people.Prof. Dr. Guy T’Sjoen, from the University of Ghent, explores the effect of hormonal treatment in the trans population.Prof. Dr. Stanislas Monstrey, from the University of Ghent, together with Dr. Iván Mañero, from IM Clinic, present the latest techniques in penile inversion vaginoplasty.Dr. Christopher Inglefield, from the London Bridge Plastic Surgery private center, shares his experience in facial feminization surgical techniques, along with Dr. Luis CapitánDr. Raúl J. FRIDAY, MAY 29, 2020 – Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, NY

3rd Annual Conference for Gender Affirmation Procedures, presented by the Mount Sinai Hospital (MSSM) and the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH).

This one-day accredited conference is geared towards non-surgeons including all allied health professionals who care for individuals preparing for gender affirmation procedures. The conference will delve into surgical strategy, peri-operative preparation, post-operative expectations, and the important of the interdisciplinary care model.

Registration for this course will open by the end of January and will be available on the WPATH website.
